Jim Himes finished his 17 towns in 17 days "Listening and Leading" tour on Monday, before a standing room only crowd at the Ferguson Library in Stamford. Himes is going to face Democratic challenger Lee Whitnum in the 4th District primary on Tuesday, August 12th. Also this week, there was a big endorsement event at McLevy Green in Bridgeport on Tuesday, where Attorney General Dick Blumenthal, Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz, State Comptroller Nancy Wyman, and Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch joined Democratic leaders from Bridgeport to stand in unity behind Jim Himes exactly two weeks before the August 12th primary.

Dick's been very visible at party events lately, and he's working to help ensure Democratic wins statewide. There's some talk that he might throw his hat into the ring for Gov'ner in 2010.
