Yesterday Rep. Chris Shays admitted he never read the document that the Bush administration used to justify the invasion of Iraq. Over five years later, Mr. Shays still hasn't gotten around to it.
Let the congressman tell you in his own words in this brief video:

Gee. Huckabee didn't read it either and didn't Bush have it for four years without reading it...??
I know not many senators got a chance to read it BEFORE the war (the report was delivered as late as possible, and the initial report was 92 pages so I suspect even those who said YEA I READ IT gave it a glance over at best) but c'mon.. it's been a couple of YEARS.
But people will forget and Shays will be voted into office once again, mark my words.
We get the representation we deserve, I'm afraid :(
That's the spirit! ;)
Well, Huckabee was a governor and he didn't have to vote on the war; if he was the Republican nominee this year, I think he'd be obligated to read the NIE at least to know the background of the war.
Same goes for Obama if he gets the nod. Clinton, I don't know if she read it either; if she hasn't yet, I'd like to know why, since she did vote to authorize the war.
See "Huckabee: NIE on Iran? Never heard of it." (12/07)

and he actually DROPPED OUT VERY LATE IN THE RACE and I think actually won some delegates.
it's really mind boggling.
It surely is. The ignorance of most of these politicians amazes me.
I think it's becoming fashionable to be stupid in Washington.
"Dumb is the new black!"
LOL!
I doubt Hillary read it either. I bet all the mothers of the dead soldiers wish they had.
