Good one! Hysterical.

Just a quick question , if you are a progressive why in your profile do you list the lifestyles of the affluent as your likes? You should not be making that kind of money and if you do why are you not distributing it to the oppressed of this mentally ill country?

My interests aren't necessarily exemplary of my income level. Obviously you have no idea of how much I make, but I will tell you it's astoundingly little for someone with my exceptional talents.

(I'm waiting for the world to catch on to that fact.)

I haven't gone scuba diving in over 10 years, but I'm still interested in it. We did go skiing once in the last 2 years, but that was only a half-day ticket at Mohawk in CT; the week in Aspen will have a wait a while.

I own a 1980 sailboat which probably wouldn't fetch $18K if I sold it tomorrow; and to afford the boat my wife drives an 11-year old Jeep and I drive a 14-year old Chevy Cavalier. You don't think we'd both like to be able to afford cars that don't rattle?

So please, don't make assumptions about me from a Blogger profile page.

Thanks for providing a written example of the "mentally ill" you referred to in your comment.

So, did you like the Petraeus image?

Bob - It's brilliant - you never cease to amaze me.

And there is no reason one can't be affluent and a progresive - I'm sure you will be both in due time.
