So I've been having CT Joyce open it! Nyuk! Nyuk! Nyuk!
But seriously ladies and germs...
Today the news said that the guy likely responsible for mailing the deadly anthrax spores killed himself as authorities were closing in to finally arrest him.
It's been nearly SEVEN years since the attacks, and the suspect lived and worked in this country. No wonder George Bush hasn't been able to find Osama bin Laden!
Another disturbing fact is that the guy was an anthrax researcher and he apparently was a nasty bit of business indeed. From the Associated Press:
The scientist, Bruce E. Ivins, worked at the Army's biological warfare labs at Ft. Detrick, Md., for 18 years until his death on Tuesday. He had a long history of homicidal threats, according to papers recently filed in local court by a social worker.Let me get this straight. The guy was a scientist who worked with anthrax just about every day, and he had a history of making homicidal threats since college, and they only get around to investigating hims NOW?!?
You gotta be fucking kidding me!
It's a miracle this administration manages to do ANYTHING right!

How clever, he was hiding in plain sight! You know I try this tactic all the time with my 4yr old when we play hide-and-seek, but unlike this guy and the Justice Dept. she always finds me.
So, why would this man with a super-lethal anthrax in hand choose to go out like this:
"The cause of death was listed as an overdose of acetaminophen, the active drug in Tylenol, which causes liver failure over several days." - Washington Post, 8/1/08
Conspiracy fans, rejoice.

I heard it was Tylenol 3, which contains codeine, and may kill you (if you take several thousand of them!)
Oh yeah, I'm all for a good conspiracy theory!
What ever killed this guy, it was likely a far more pleasant death than the one delivered by inhalation anthrax. Look up the details of just exactly what happens to you from it... pretty evil way to intentionally kill someone.
I don't doubt that the nutjob actually killed himself, but the thing that really bothers me is that our government was working on the anthrax as a weapon and they let this guy with a history of mental problems and a record of threats continue working for YEARS after the incidents.
This is the sort of thing that occurs when the Bush administration isn't held accountable for it's actions.
The government (read: Bush's "politically pure" employees - Danke, Herr Obergrupenfuerer Rove) couldn't find a fart at a bean convention.
Are there really "bean conventions"? Damn, you don't read the papers for a coupla days and you miss all the important news! :)
I think there's one in minnesota coming up in a few weeks.
No, I think that's going to be a "ween" convention.
