Getting close

I just got the word that Ned is expected at the podium "within the hour" it is looking very good here. Lots of scuttlebut about how Lieberman will handle the concession and try to step on the Ned story tomorrow by doing something regarding his Indy campaign tonight.

If you can bear, Alan Colmes is live on FNC from our ballroom. The mood is upbeat and somewhat relieved. I can't help but think of that classic movie The Candidate when Robert Redford won, hid in the bathroom and said "What the hell do we do now?"

If I had to guess, Lieberman, if he concedes will want the straight up at 11pm, with Ned to follow.

"Try to step on Ned"? Hey, that's politics.
Don't enter the arena if you're gonna whine about the tactics.

You better tell that to Joe 'bloggers killed my website boohoo' Lieberman!

Maybe it's not whining but rather statement of fact. Lieberman wants precedence and deference in everything.

How about that. Drudge already call Joe winner

Joe needs to win all the remaining precincts by nearly 59% to 41%.

I can't see it.

Sheesh bloggers have shut down most of the political blogosphere hehe. This is totally unbelievable, how much interest this race has generated.

West Hartford - 20/20

Lamont - 51.13%
Lieberman - 48.87%

Could this result be a pointer to Hartford?

Maybe? You're speaking of remote probabilities, a chance of 0.01? The facts that the bloggers found are very telling. The Lieberman site wasn't hosted at a provider that could handle that lot of traffic. Hell, even dkos went down several times today, and they are much better equipped than Lieberman!

Ned is pulling away again. Almost a 9k lead now. It's over for Joe. :)

Firedoglake's been down most of the evening. Must be those evil hackers! MyDD too! And even Kos sometimes! Boy, those Lamont hackers sure get around.

It's kind of funny.... Folks who wouldn't take anything Drudge says w/o a grain of salt the size of East Kansas are happily posting his calling the election for Lamont.

Patience, people, patience. We will all know soon enough. Mrs. Curmudgeon and I out here in deepest darkest Utah have a bottle of Andre's finest, awaiting the moment. But not until the fat lady is warbling at full volume.

At this point, Lieberman would need soemthing like 65% or more in all of the remaining districts. It's not going to happen.
