Lead continues
With 542/743 precincts
Lamont 117,678 Lieberman 110,339
We are way ahead of WTIC's live stream on the results
No, Stamford has mostly come in. Lieberman will likely pick up between 200-300 additional votes there when the remaining 4 precincts report. Not a big deal.
The big one is Hartford. Hartford hasn't reported a thing yet.
"That's only 73% in, not 80 as you posted earlier."
the 73% are from the Hartford Courant. Bob's numbers are directly from the campaign. Don't blame him for not writing down all the digits or for transmission errors!
And rememeber, the Lamont campaign predicted a win by 6500 votes. So far, they seem to be quite good.
77 % in now and a 7,400 vote lead. 3.5% There can't be more than 75,000 votes outstanding, probably fewer. So Lieberman has to get 55% of the remaining votes. He has 48.25 now.
This is possible. But it's looking much less likely.
Maybe you've already got this; but 5/6th of the vote is in, maybe 46,000 outstanding and Lamont lead above 8500 odd votes. Lieberman would have to take 60 percent of remainder; and most of Hartford and suburbs is in.

I can tell.
percentage count? My math sucks :-/

Hartford Courant
537 of 748 Precincts Reporting - 71.79%
Lamont, Ned Dem 100,425 51.61
Lieberman, Joe Dem 94,148 48.39
earlier you said 117K to 103K with 80% in. your numbers are clearly BS, sorry. are you pulling them out of a hat?
were gonna lose this sucks...stamford hasnt even come in yet. its all lost. fuck
So the results on the thread below are wrong, I take it?
Easy guys! Ct Bob is tired. He typed 80 instead of 70. Otherwise his numbers are OK.
551 of 748 Precincts Reporting - 73.66%
Lamont, Ned Dem 103,145 51.73
Lieberman, Joe (i)Dem 96,235 48.27
cheers for kirby & CTbob!

no, it wasn't just a mistake on the % reporting, he also had 117K to 103K then mysteriously lieberman got an extra 7K while lamont did nothing.
ct bob isn't tired, he's making #s up. it's VERY clear.
Hartford could pull it out for Lieberman. I don't see much Lamont support there.
A stupid question: do all precincts have the same number of voters in them?
yeah, the 80% numbers were clearly bogus. why give false hope?
the numbers are getting closer and closer percentagewise, but not in raw numbers. still 7000 votes ahead for ned.

East Hartford and West Hartford also.
West Hartford (20 precincts) might be Lamont (colleges and stuff)

Hey Teddy SF!!! [It's me, Mrs. K8]
I can't get in to FDL, the site must be swamped. Good to see you here!
And thanks to CTBob for all your hard work. I've been reading your site for a while now, just now stepping out of the lurking shadows....
But I had to be sure to thank you kindly for all the good work you do! You CT bloggers are all heroes to me. We'll get back our Republic yet!
Mrs. K8
With 551 precincts in, here's what's still out:
AP with 484 precincts reporting - what's still yet to report:
#Pr. Town
23 Hartford
12 W Hartford (out of 20)
7 E Hartford
10 Wethersfield
10 Bristol
10 Fairfield
10 Manchester
10 Milford
10 Wethersfield
10 New Haven (out of 45)
9 Wallingford
9 Glastonbury
9 Enfield
And after that, it's places like Vernon and Bloomfield and smaller stuff like that.
The 551 is the right number - my C&Ping left something to be desired.

Quick Calculation:
For Joe to have a chance, the remaining 200 or so precincts have to break 56%:44% (Joe:Ned).

In any case, it sure doesnt look like Ned is going to pull a large enough margin to force Joe out of the race.
:(
Bet me to it Tortoise.

I don't know about Lieberman's motives. But if he can't win the primary with this kingd of turnout....

*g* Good job I'm thick-skinned.
Oh, I see. You are a reptile too. (Thought you were just calling me one.)
Joe needs to get 57.5% now. Think he's done?

I call Lamont a winner!
But I'm just a schmuck living in New York.
