Yes We Did!
It may not be perfect, but it is a giant step in the right direction. And the Republicans will forever be known as the ones who politicized this much needed reform. History will not be kind to them.
I woke up at 5:30 AM with CNN on here in Cairo with Obama speaking. Can't believe it. I'm not a supporter of the bill, as is, but it's a first step. The man worked his ass off for this, and yes, this is change. Gotta be happy. Now my kids will be insured until they are 26 - a big problem in our family (and we probably have what's considered, one of those amazingly good insurance coverages.)
Yes the bill is imperfect, but I think a lot of people who opposed the bill are going to immediately realize some of those benefits, like no denial for pre-existing conditions; no cap on coverages; and covering kids to 26.
But everyone's absolutely convinced they'll be a millionaire someday, so they worry endlessly about taxes they'll probably never have to pay.
