...for now, anyway. Tornado watch with extreme weather expected to hit some time this morning.
The hotel guest services book doesn't say where the storm cellar is. I just walked by the front desk, and I didn't see any hotel staff. Is that a bad sign?
UPDATE: Just spent 20 minutes in the hotel safe room. When I heard the tornado sirens, I suddenly realized it wasn't quite as funny anymore! But I did shoot some video of the sirens blaring outside the front entrance for a few moments, until a hotel employee ordered me back in with a "You do NOT want to be standing there!" The danger is over...for now.

I guess that means you won't be phone banking tonight, as I just heard Mike Brown request via phone.
He doesn't know that you are in Indianapolis (which he calls "Kentucky"), with your very life at risk.
He also doesn't know that you you don't "do" phone banks.
I got the message. The only phone banking I'll be doing is to 911. Nyuk nyuk!
Actually, the storm has swept past, and now it's sunny and nice, except for the 40 knot breeze!
Make sure you try the shrimp cocktail at Harry & Izzy's in the airport, across from the tornado shelter. Enjoy.
I hear we're due to get it tonight and tomorrow morning.
Greg, it sounds deelish, but my return flight is at 8AM, so I'll probably have to give it a pass this time around. Although shrimp wrapped in bacon might qualify as a tasty breakfast treat!
VB, be sure to batten down the hatches if it's anything like what we got here! So, you're in CT right now?
Hi Bob,
The weather is not so great here either. Typical October. Warm, wet, windy.
Harry & Izzy's main restaurant is downtown. If you get a chance to go, you won't regret it. I was there for the VFW National Convention in August.
Have a safe trip.
Greg
Yeah. Indianapolis is known for it's seafood./snark
Dear anonymous. That's what I thought, but Harry & Izzy's is famous for their shrimp cocktail for a reason. Sometimes you just have to be open to the idea that what you believe might be worth reconsideration, especially when new data becomes available./snark back at ya
Yeah, I'm in CT (as usual during the fall). Speaking of fall, good to see Linda taking a small nosedive, wondering What The What is Dean up to. As I read on one blog, her reasoning must be, "I can't lose if you can't vote."
Bob
Is this the same Greg Smith who threw you off of MGAT? If so, I recommend you don't listen to a fucking word he says.
Mike
Mike, thanks for your concern. But really, no need to worry.
