Ray Charles disrupts Tea Party!

In a brilliant bit of political theater, the 9/11 tea party in Bridgeport was interrupted by the legendary Ray Charles, singing an American classic! Ann Coulter was on the stage when it happened.

It's sad that that that last nutbag seems to think that Ray Charles singing "America the Beautiful" is terrible music...maybe these idiots are the fascists...Maybe?

PS - "orkattack" as a verifyer....pithy, ain't it?

Too many "obvious" comments to make that are pretty much summed up in the video as it is so I will just say good job...

It's simply amazing these asshats chose the anniversary of 9-11 to spew their hatred of the United States of America.

Great work, CT Bob! That was fun to watch. And the guy who put on the music--fantastic!! What a great thing to do, and it took some courage too, there were some scary looking people in that crowd. So kudos to anonymous guy in the window and to you!!

That's it in a nut(case)shell, hm?

I have never attended an sort of protest in my life, nor held a sign protesting anything - ever.

Seems to me however when some group is legally exercising their rights under the 1st and even has the proper permits in hand to do so; those interfering with the permit holders are attempting to deny that group of their rights.

That's un-American.

Wow, great video! So glad someone caught all that GOP hatred and intolerance on tape. What a bunch of clowns out there. Did they even have a permit? My business was disrupted by all their noise. I would've blasted music too had I not been working.

The Man in the Window is my new hero. A few minutes of video speak louder than any words. Thank God for CTBob and CTBlogger being there.

If they had permits then the music man was out of line. If you don't like the message put forth don't listen, shut the window. It won't be long, sooner or later people will be hurt or killed, both sides have nuts and goons. What used to be arguments are now confrontations, the hate runs deep on both sides, the left as guilty as the right. Rush Limbaugh is a vile hate filled sack of crap, but no more so than Keith Olbermann. They and others like them are cut from the same cloth, they lie distort and gin up jokers who can't think for themselves. But in the end perhaps because both sides hate each other so much, maybe violence is inevitable, it seemed to be close at hand on the video. Destroying ourselves.... amazing sad but in the end what else can be the result. As far as them protesting on 9/11 what is the difference between their protest on that day and the truthers who claim the government caused or let 9/11 happen? Is it because yesterday they were right wing loons? Because some on the left are involved in the truther crap they get a free pass? In fact one of the posters here, on his own web site links to some sites that actively spew out truther and other conspiratorial crap.

Wow, so someone who blares music to drown out free speech is brilliant. You are all sad and pathetic.

Seems to me that spending 9/11 attending a rally for a cause one believes in, and a cause that (one believes) is good for the country is commendable. If nothing else, it's paying tribute to the patriotism that we all felt 8 years ago. Certainly better doing this than just going to work or going on with life as usual on 9/11. It's stuff like this that makes the lives lost on Sept. 11th not in vain.

Sure anonymous, especially the dancing.

Looks like heartless cold-blooded robots to me.

GIGO- "garbage in garbage out, is an old computer programming phrase that I'm sure you are familiar with. It's the propaganda and lies these folks are constantly fed and are gullible enough to believe that has turned them into the "heartless cold-blooded robots" you so aptly describe.

I feel sad for them, and think that under different circumstances they probably wouldn't be acting like that. Maybe I watched "Polyanna" too many times when I was little.

Maybe the idiots calling that song crap just didn't recognize it. Terrible music? I thought they were uber-Patriots. Don't they know they'll lose their teabagging permits for decrying patriotic songs?
