Spellbinding

House Minority Leader Lawrence C. Cafero Jr., R-Norwalk, obviously enthralls his House colleagues Monday night.

That Spider Solitaire game is really hard to beat, too.

Just another reason to flush the incumbents and start anew. Sad to say it sorta reminds me of the tale of Nero fiddling while Rome burned. If this is their idea of "DOING THE PEOPLE"S BUSINESS" then perhaps we should just shovel the dirt over the corpse that was once the state of CT.

Or, it could be that Larry is so absolutely boring that everyone spaces out completely and tries to escape the grinding drone of his voice. I guess it depends on how you look at it.

They have become a national joke. Boring or not to exhibit behavior like this only serves to confirm peoples negative impressions of politicians. This was a debate about a long overdue budget that since rell is letting it pass into law without her signature, they totally own. If business leaves, unemployment grows, the debt worsens etc. you can bet this picture will become an iconic image showing political incompetence at it's worse.
