Jim Amann endorses Genevieve

Former House Speaker and 2010 Gubernatorial candidate Jim Amann officially endorsed Genevieve Salvatore for Milford's mayor today. Standing in front of the Devon clock tower, which Amann was instrumental in helping procure for Milford, both he and Genevieve spoke on the issues facing Milford.

I understand a Jim Amann endorsement and $2.11 gets you a large coffee at any Dunkin Donuts in Milford or anywhere else in the state.

You know, I kinda had trouble hearing what Mr. Sticking With Joe was saying because of all the street noise. Did he refuse to put on your radio lav.?

The fact that Salvatore fell for your stunt counts as one strike against her already, hee hee. I would have avoided crusher with a ten foot pole.

Keith, remember we're a big tent party, and we have room for everyone. Even those we make funny videos about.

WH Bob, oops! Like I said, I've been working too hard these days!

LZ, it was windy and my camera tends to mute the levels when the wind roars. It would've fucked up a lav mic, too. And while some out there may have a problem with Jim, he still carries a lot of weight locally, and we're trying to unseat a four-term Republican mayor in this town.

So she gonna win or what?

We have a very good chance this year, and there are a couple other candidates who might siphon some votes off the mayor, so we'll see.

As much as I'd love to see her win, I suspect the old guard in Milford will prevail and we'll see Spalthoff win in a squaker.

Whatever happens though, "Mayor Jim" is toast.

The interesting thing is that someone has been doing telephone polling, but I haven't seen any results anywhere. I was robo-called last week and polled on who I wanted to win the election. Weird how they left Tim Chaucer off the list.

I was polled via telephone as well (by an actual human.) She said she was from some company in the CT. Post mall. Most of the questions pertained to Richetelli specifically (how I though he was doing, pro's/cons, etc.) It wasn't until the very end that she asked me how I was going to vote.

It felt weird.

Salvatore was endorsed by the New Haven Register on October 23rd!

Looks like it may be the first endorsement of a non-Republican in 20 years.

re Polls: Tight race. People are used to what they are used to and this is one of those "every vote counts" races, as well as a four candidate event.
