Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz will host “The Colin McEnroe Show” on WTIC-AM 1080 on Monday, December 11, 2006 from 3-6 p.m. Her scheduled guests will include, among others, United States Congressmen-Elect Joe Courtney (D-2nd District), United States Congressman-Elect Chris Murphy (D-5th District), Lieutenant Governor Kevin Sullivan, Duby McDowell, and Scott Haney of WFSB Channel 3 TV.If you have questions about the new voting machines, this is a great opportunity for you to call in and ask Susan about them. Here's the WTIC Homepage, which probably has the call-in number for the show; otherwise, just tune in on Monday and I'm sure they'll announce it.
Secretary Bysiewicz and Colin McEnroe had made a bet about the number of new voters who would register between the August 8th primary and the October 31st deadline; Susan said more than 35,000 new voters would register in that time, Colin said that would not happen. Susan won the bet with nearly 54,000 new voters registering in that time period. As a result, she won Colin’s show for a day.
