Time to get the Steering Committee involved

Here's more info on the "Joe Must Go" movement. Repost from FireDogLake:

The Huffington Post is reporting that in their meeting today, Reid told Lieberman that he had to step down from his position as chair of the Homeland Security Committee if he remained in the Democratic Caucus.  Lieberman did not accept this offer, which means that his only redress is to go around Reid and petition the Senate Democratic Steering and Outreach Committee to keep his seat.

We've watched for years as Joe called us traitors, lied his face off, stabbed Democrats in the back and did everything he could to keep Barack Obama out of the white house.  Lieberman laundered smears that even McCain wasn't willing to launch himself.

No way.

Make no mistake about it -- Lieberman was openingly threatening the Democratic caucus in his press conference today.  Enough is enough.

Please sign the petition to the Steering and Outreach Committee, telling them it's time for Joe to go.

This is the first I've seen of his press conference, which takes a lot of nerve, but isn't that always Joe, "me,me,me?" He mentions working from "standards," except he has none. I can't wait until they boot his ass out.

I don't know how to link this, but Politico is reporting a Lieberman aide saying McConnell has reached out to Lieberman and the aid the that Lieberman is still negotiating with the Dems.
"at this stage his position is he wants to remain in the caucus but losing the chairmanship is unacceptable.” The aid said on Politico.

Ummmm. Suck it Joe. You selfish, self-righteous moron.
Lieberman is unacceptable to more than half this country. Joe MUST go!
(o/t whatever happened to his equally despicable aid who used to post on blogs Dangerstein?)

I see Gerstain pop up as a greasy pundit on MSNBC once in a while. He still sets my teeth on edge when he talks!

Kick the mother fucker to the curb.

His ass should Caucus with Reid's foot.

Heh. An amusing image just flashed through my mind. Dickie Goodstein showing up and attempting to start a brawl at the Democratic Caucus vote on booting Lieberman.

Nah, he only picks fights with little guys.

The more I think about it, let Lieberman caucus with whoever he wants. He doesn't represent me. I'd be pissed if I were a Conn. resident and voted for him based on his campaign promises that he wanted to bring the troops home, not realizing what a warmonger he is.
Still, let him caucus where he wants.
He should lose the chairmanship because as usually he was too busy sucking up to his fellow warmongers to do his job. He quashed any investigation of the Bush Administration for it's ridiculous response to Katrina. That alone should cost him the chairmanship.

The thing is, Lieberman will caucus with whoever HE wants, but he WANTS to keep his chair. It better not happen, because with his gavel comes subpoena power, and I expect Barack Obama to appoint an Attorney General who will actually enforce them.

You can only imagine the damage he can do with that power to the Democrats, as the GOP agent provocateur her really is!
