Thank YOU, Ned!
Just a quick note here since I am sure they are still partying in New Haven -- Ned's thank you party tonight was fun. All your favorite bloggers were there and Bob was in rare form with his new camera. He got Ned's speech to the crowd on video, and it was fabulous. He took the microphone in hand, and said, "You know, I kind of miss this!" and the crowd in unison replied "And so do we!" Bob will no doubt have it up tomorrow -- be sure to stop back. It made us all realize that while Ned may not have won the seat, we changed the country.

Kirby, thanks for posting the update. Sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbye. The video is downloading to my pc right now, but it'll be tomorrow night at the earliest before I can edit and post it. It was a fun night, though!
I'm sorry I missed it. I'm sick and just couldn't make it to New Haven.
Was it well attended?
Dude,
Get rid of that light.
OK, I get the message! I'll only use that lamp for taping large events, like football games at night. It's only supposed to be 40 watts, but it sure as hell looks like about 300. I'll stick with me little 3W light for interviews, OK?
Can't wait to see the speech. I wish I had known, otherwise I'd try to get there earlier.
The Ned reunion definitely made me shloppy sentimental.
Dab & trueblue, Someone told me there were 273-300 that probably came and went throughout the evening. I think about 270-ish people RSVPd. Could be wrong though.
I just showed up on the basis that they opened it up to anyone and allowing the overflow into the bar area... But it seemed like everyone crammed into the backroom anyways. I think the original event was slated for 200 but judging by the sardine situation there was A LOT MORE!
It was great meeting some of you for the first time (and a couple of you again) as I got to put another 10 or so more faces to internet names.
My last check of the RSVP's topped 300. I would not doubt something close to that came and went over the duration. Seeing Ned and everyone else again was fantastic; I look forward to us maintaining some level of involvement.
Keep on rockin [the boat]...
J
