Shays = McCain

Don't let Chris Shays fool you.

In the final week of his campaign, Chris Shays is going around comparing himself to Barack Obama.

It's astounding, but that's what he's doing. Chris Shays is essentially abandoning his own party in his effort to hold onto power.

It would almost be amusing if it wasn't so sad. The desperation of the man should embarrass any self-respecting Republican in the 4th District. But he's grasping at straws, and he's willing to betray John McCain and his own party. Because Shays knows that his ship is sinking, and even HE wants to get off!

Don't forget that Chris Shays is the co-chair of John McCain's campaign in Connecticut. Don't forget that the Bridgeport Post and the Stamford Advocate has endorsed BOTH John McCain AND Chris Shays.

And especially don't forget that when it comes to votes that really count, Chris Shays was there for George Bush at least 89% of the time.

In other words, nine out of ten times Chris Shays voted with George Bush. Which is almost the same percentage that John McCain voted.

Don't let Chris Shays fool you.

If you plan to vote for Barack Obama, then vote for Jim Himes too. Because while Shays = McCain, you also should remember that Jim Himes = Barack Obama.

If you vote for change, then vote for Jim Himes.
