Saturday Ned Lamont visited the "Father Panik Village Reunion", an all-day neighborhood party, celebrating the vibrancy and diversity of the old neighborhood, which was razed about 10 years ago to provide new low-income housing.
But the neighborhood spirit is still strong, with many former residents traveling back to Bridgeport just for the event, to rekindle old acquaintances and neighborhood ties.
Mayor Bill Finch hosted Ned, along with Sheriff W.E. Murphy. The video has a little bit of the mayor showing his awesome dance moves (I sure hope he has a sense of humor!)
