Jim Himes marched proudly in the Puerto Rican Day Parade in Bridgeport on Sunday, and from the look of the pictures, he and everyone there was having a great time!

The "Himes Float" was a big hit, with plenty of cheers from the viewers as it rolled down the parade route.

Jim was born in Peru to American parents, and lived much of his childhood among Spanish-speaking peoples. It must have felt a little like seeing long-time cousins.

It's great to see someone having such a good time at what some other politicians might consider to be a political chore. He's obviously enjoying meeting people and taking part in the festivities.
