Sunday, September 17 is Constitution Day. All public schools must address this amazing document in curriculum, as of last year. Perhaps we can send Bush, Cheney, Gonzalez, Myers, et al to the DC public schools this week to review the Constitution they clearly skipped in school themselves. Here are some great educational sites:
C-SPAN has a 16 minute video accessible from their home page.
The National Archives has an "interactive" Constitution page.
National Constitution Center has a number of resources, including lesson plans for teachers and one online exhibit that caught my eye --
What is the difference between "separation of powers" and "popular sovereignty"? Visit Basic Governing Principles and learn about the central governing theories that form the basis of the U.S. ConstitutionJustice Learning for analysis and discussion.
Hug your Constitution today -- we must protect it at all costs.
