Lamont Accepts Invitation for Fourth Debate

This just in from the Lamont campaign:

(STATEWIDE) – Today, Democratic Nominee for US Senate Ned Lamont accepted an invitation to attend another US Senate debate. It will be held next Thursday evening, November 2nd, and will be sponsored by Fox 61 WTIC-TV and the Hartford Courant. The debate will be broadcast live from Quinnipiac College in Hamden, and again several times before the election on November 7th.

“We are looking forward to another opportunity to debate the issues openly so the voters of Connecticut can make an informed decision on who they want to represent them in the US Senate,” said Liz Dupont-Diehl, Communications Director for the Lamont Campaign. “We hope that both of Ned’s opponents will join him.”

Republican Nominee Alan Schlesinger has also accepted the invitation. The sponsors will allow the debate to proceed whether or not Senator Lieberman accepts.

Lieberman truly needs to think about not going to another debate. He hurts himself everytime he gets on stage. The guy is mental and it would be dangerous for voters to send that "stay the course" egotist back to DC. I welcome a good debate but Joey can't get through 5 minutes with out whining about being attacked. What a pathetic person. Get some therapy Joey.

I am Schlesinger supporter, and is about time Alan and Ned Can go head to head, and by the way Aln Schlesinger will wipe the floor with Ned Lamont all day so I hope he has his A GAME to bring because Mr. Schlesinger will be on his.

@anonymous re: Schlesinger support -- I agree with you that it will be good to have a head to head. I don't agree that Alan will wipe the floor with Ned, but am happy that a Schlesinger supporter is posting and is enthusiastic about his/her candidate.

Yeah gchaucer, I agree.

And the thing that Alan needs to remember is that Ned isn't the enemy...

He's the guy that killed your guy's chances of getting any support from the national Republican party.

Slam Joe for his politics, his theft of your support, and his cowardace for not appearing in the debate he AGREED to appear in.
