Kiss floating

(Photos by Spazeboy!) Yesterday Spazeboy and I had a really great time driving the Kiss float around the state. We were both pleasantly surprised at the number of people who saw the float, and their reactions.

The first reaction was from Senator Cheney Lieberman himself. I was taping two posters to the side of the Kiss float, which said "DUMP SLUSH FUND JOE!" and "SHOW ME THE MONEY, JOE!", and the "Number 2" car (appropriate on SO many levels) drove by, looking for the entrance to a parking lot.

Joe flip-flopped and came back, and I waved at Senator Slush Fund and he waved back. If you look closely at Spaze's photo, you can see Droopy waving from the passenger seat. That might have been the last time he smiled that day.

But we got a lot of other great reactions, too. Cars would honk their horns and give the thumbs up. People on the street would stop, do a double take, and then start laughing. One guy was getting out of his car as we drove by, and we both heard him say "Holy shit!" in an incredulous voice! Dozens of people took pictures of the float, even flagging us down and yelling for us to stop so they could get their cameras ready.

One or two people gave us the thumbs down, but they were frowning and looked like miserable people anyway who rarely, if ever, find humor in life.

This is the difference between the two campaigns. The Lieberman people use thuggish tactics to disrupt and annoy people. We use humor and good sportsmanship to make our points.

But then, is ANYONE surprised that Senator "Win At All Costs" wouldn't play fair?

The Float is working like a charm boys.... PLEASE keep it coming. It's a perfect compliment to the innovative Mr. Smith-Barney goes to Wsahington ad.

Hillsman can enjoy the POLY instead of the win bonus!

Wow dude, you are almost as annoying as the LaDouche-bag. Maybe you can start singing for Joe?

It amuses me that you are such a coward. Proof that Joe attracts the classiest people.

Sounds like Joe's base, Bob. When you've gone as low as you can go...Look! It's Joe!

WHY IS THAT that the Lieberman supporters are all so angry and hate filled?

My impressions of those who will vote for Joe include:

elderly people who are low-informed and afraid of change

People from his same religion who feel it would be wrong to vote against him

and lastly, those who will not admit this war is wrong and Bush and Lieberman lied to us! Mostly made up of Republicans.

The anomosity is something I have never witnessed before.
