Here's how Connecticut taxpayers have been treated since 1981. The red line is how many dollars we get back for every dollar we send to Washington. Uh, Joe....why do we send more than we get back? No lobbyist for the Connecticut citizens?
The green line is our ranking in money coming back to the state from Washington. Joe had a couple of good years there when he entered the Senate and seemed to care about Connecticut's needs, but like Joe's interest in US, our rank has crashed to LAST in the nation.
Heckuva job, Joey!

Fantastic chart, thanks very much.
Hey, I've been noticing that locally the "VOTE JOE" signs - inevitably placed next to a Republican candidate's sign - are beginning to disappear. I am wondering whether the Foley scandal is such that local Republicans now want to distance themselves from "holy Joe"...
Look how well we did in 1982.
Hmmm, wasn't Lowell Weicker our senator then?
Kirby, this is a great chart! I'm finding out that the people who actually say they don't know too much about the campaign but are leaning towards Joe don't know anything about him! These are the people I love because by the time I go through Joe's voting record and point out how he is being heavily funded by the Republicans and will no doubt be obligated to them they seem to be all ears. Then I include my points about Ned and how he will help bring back the "checks and balances" in congress that we so desperately need. They always seem to get this point because most of these people aren't happy with the "rubber stamping" given to Bush, but they aren't aware how much Joe has rubber stamped as well. Honestly, it just takes politely talking to some these "undecided voters" and you'd be surprised how easily they can be turned around!
Well, I guess my previous comment attempt did not make it through. Should have been the first.
Anyway, OUTSTANDING compilation Kirby! WTG!! This chart is ready to be plugged in directly to TV [and other] ads; and should be.
Gee, Michael, it seems that Joe Lieberman is first in line to take full responsibility for keeping the sub-base open...why not pile some blame on top, too?
