Alan Schlesinger "speed round"

Last night I asked Alan Schlesinger to give short policy statements on some important issues. Here's the result.

And for those of you who ask why I post these Schlesinger clips, I have a few reasons.

First, nobody else seems to be interested in covering the selected Republican candidate in a Senate election. I have trouble understanding that. So I'm filling a gap in the MSM coverage of this campaign.

Also, Alan's HQ is only about 5 miles from my house. It's convenient. (Hey, I didn't promise that my answers would be deep or anything)

Third, I asked to interview him, and he said Yes. That's worth going over there, setting up my mic, lights and camera, and running some tape.

Plus, I'm a big fan of this Democracy thing that everybody's been talking about lately. It's cool.

So, if you're concerned about my giving so much space to a Republican candidate...don't. Read the header on the top of this page. I welcome intelligent discussion of the issues from ALL sources, not just liberal Dems.

Bob, you ARE what democracy is all about! Good job and it truly is great to hear what Alan has to say (even though I don’t agree on many of his issues, at least he is honest!!!). It's a shame that the Republican Party has abandoned him for Joe. But, it's quite obvious why and it has all to do with IRAQ and holding Bush accountable!!! Bush and Joe really do need each other – (oh lord, I can’t even go there!!!)

VOTE for CHANGE, VOTE NED!!!!

Harriet - I was just going to say the same thing to Bob & Kirby. They have done such an outstanding job for the past four or five months - and our democratic process is all the better for it. I'm sure Schlesinger appreciates what you've done, as well.

And you both seem fearless.

(FYI - Selise is organizing an FDL get together around Ned's rally this Saturday. Are either of you interested? If so - you can email me at dbharbor-blog@yahoo.com)
